MARIO TESTINO EMULATION
Mario Testino is a fashion photographer very famous for the pictures he took to Lady Diana.
He was working for Vogue and after those famous pictures, he started to shot all celebrities.
Once he took pictures to Diana Princess, he shot also to the rest of the family and especially he was chosen for the William and Kate's engagement.
He said about the engagement pictures not very satisfied as he could not find the right shot, when suddenly he surprised the couple hugging each other and that is the best shot he had taken that day.
Today, we need to produce a research of one of the photographer chosen.
I choose one of the most famous portrait and fashion photographer in the world: MARIO TESTINO.

The picture in regard, is The Princess Diana.
This photograph was made in 1997, for Vanity Fair shoot. It is, basically, a portrait.
The photograph was taken in London, at Kensighton Palace.

To make this picture I will use a studio or also a room. Picture must be sharp, so I will use light, as much as possible, with medium/small aperture.
I will use a bit of photoshop to change the background and to try to make similar the picture.
What I did is take a model and riproduce the same position and make up, nearly.
I used photoshop to make the picture similar.
I blurred the face and contrasted the colour.
This was the most enjoyable project. Peering the fashion photographs and in the meantime discovering techniques, light and position of models to be used also in a future.
In fact, I, after take the picture, experimented photoshop on my model, taking idea from other photographers.
The picture is not like Mario Testino's picture, but I loved emulating him, stimulating myself getting the point that the picture supposed to be like his picture.
